Kuliah Magrib Ustaz Husin Yee Pada
Hari Khamis Malam Jumaat, 2 April 2009

Pada malam ini saya merasa lega kerana pegangan saya selama ini bagaikan terbela, atau setidak-tidaknya dikongsi oleh seorang Ustaz yang tinggi ilmunya. Ia adalah berhubung dua perkara dalam solat iaitu:

1. Tentang bacaan fatihah bagi makmum yang masbuk yang tidak sempat membaca fatihah, tetapi sempat rukuk bersama Imam. Dalam sessi soal jawab di akhir kuliah, Pak Mudir kita Pak Haji Zainal telah bertanyakan tentang hal ini. Jawapan Ustaz begitu terang dan jelas iaitu, memandangkan fatihah adalah merupakan salah satu rukun solat, bererti makmum mestilah bangkit lagi setelah imam memberi salam untuk menyempurnakan rakaat yang tidak sempurna kerana tiada fatihah tersebut. Jika tidak solatnya tidak sah. Dalam hal ini saya pernah berbahath dengan seorang makmum lain yang telah menegur saya kerana berbuat seperti apa yang dikatakan oleh Ustaz tersebut. Saya tidak menyalahkan beliau kerana itulah sebenarnya yang diajarkan kepada kita selama ini, iaitu sekiranya makmum sempat rukuk bersama imam walaupun fatihah tidak sempat dibacanya, rakaat tersebut dikira sempurna. Perbahathan kami berakhir dengan sama-sama bersetuju bahawa kami tidak sependapat (agree to disagree!). Pada malam ini saya dapati saya tidak keseorangan.

2. Tentang makmum terus sujud di rakaat akhir walaupun imam telah duduk, bahkan ada yang sujud begitu lama, hinggakan apabila imam telah memberi salam ia masih terus sujud. Masih ada jamaah kita yang berbuat demikian di surau kita ini pun! Sebagai makmum kita mestilah ikut apa yang imam buat selagi imam tidak berbuat silap, jika tidak bukan ikut imam namanya. Untuk mengatakan batal solatnya saya tidak berani, tetapi cukup seperti apa yang dikatakan Ustaz, makmum seperti ini tidak beradab namanya! Kalau mahu sujud lama-lama, buatlah ketika solat bersendirian, seperti solat sunat tahajjud dan lain-lain lagi.

Understanding Koraanic Arabic

The Surau has started to teach Koraanic Arabic to those interested. Seems to have a very good response. 3 classes are going on with about 50 student (I am told).

Youth

Youthful faces in the surau. Its the sign of the time. The future Muslim generation. It is on these youths that come to the surau, those that attend tazkirah that the bright future of Islams, the hope and aspiration of the future, is holding on to.

Even children are seen attending prayers at the surau, brought and trained by their parents.

Tabligh

Our surau is quite popular with the local and even international tabligh movement. Here shows some of them at prayers in our surau. Normally they stay around for a few days. They are in no way in the way of normal surau congregation, in fact they make the surau more meaningful

Handing over

Our friend and long time surau going guy Sdr Fakhrurazi Abd Sayuti (and his family is always at the surau at most prayer times with him) is leaving, he has been transferred by his employer to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. We wish him (and his family) a good trip and a good service in Kota Kinabalu.

While with the surau he had been a very active member, the one to be relied upon for making arrangements for 'overseas' Ustaz.

Transition year dua (doa)

The transition between (30 Zulhijah) year 1429 Hijriah and (1 Muharram) 1430 Hijriah. In Muslim lunar calender the day transition is when Asar (sunset prayer time) ends and Maghrib (dusk prayer time) begins, unlike the Christian solar calender.
And at the end of that particular Hijriah year, and also at the beginning of the incoming Hijriah year, Muslims are encouraged to do dua, to thank Allah for the last year and to implore to Allah that the incoming year should be a better year (that is what that dua is all about) for self and family and for all Muslims.

Ustaz Osman Abdullah

Ustaz Osman Abdullah is from Penang (Pulau Pinang). He is one of our regular Ustaz, and he travels all the way from Penang to Kuala Lumpur to deliver tazkirah in certain mesjid in the Kuala Lumpur area.

In our surau, he is now using the kitab “Nasihat Ugama dan Wasiat Iman” by Imam Habib Abdullah Haddad as reference. The kitab is translated by Syed Ahmad Semait from Arabic to Malay. Its published by Pustaka Nasional Pte Ltd Singapura (edition 2008).
